The purpose=20 of this course is to give IT staff new to AIX a thorough = introduction to=20 the AIX operating system. Whilst not covering any administration = concepts,=20 this course covers all the basic knowledge required for further = AIX=20 training. In addition to this, it will teach you to use the Common = Desktop=20 Environment which is a graphical/windows front end to the = operating=20 system.

End users and = support=20 staff of AIX systems who have little or no experience of AIX and = the=20 Common Desktop environment.

Prerequisites

 


Participants = attending=20 this course should be familiar with the basic usage of an = operating=20 system. Participants with existing knowledge of the UNIX operating = system=20 or its derivatives, or have been using AIX for a few months will = not need=20 this course.

o Structure and execute = commands.

o Use an AIX editor.
